I’m sorry to be so behind in the plans, but there’s so much that comes up it’s hard to say for sure a month or more ahead of time. But, we’re coming on the 19th!
I see this has turned into an entire weekend thing, and unfortunately, that we can’t do. I have my CPR renewal class on the 20th (whee). But, who knows, maybe we can find reason to come back and harass on the 21st. 
I’ve just skimmed this thread, more or less, so I’m a bit unclear on plans. It’s in Redondo Beach, yes? Would someone mind emailing or just replying and telling me where we need to be Friday night?

And Merc, Ruffian was asking about plans on Friday night. As far as I know, there are no plans for Friday night, hence her confusion (and the reason for my prior post).

Ruffian, nothing specific is planned, because we don’t know exactly where to go. But, there is going to be plenty of people there, that I think calling Friday night the boring night would be a mistake. We will have fun. There will be plenty of us. We just have to have a specific location figured out. The Ramada in Redondo is where many of us are staying, so, hopefully, the festivities will be nearby the hotel.
Send out your cell phone number, that way you can be in the loop for any plans we make for Friday.
The big event is supposed to be Saturday night at the El Torito in Redondo. But, that doesn’t mean Friday won’t be fun as well. And, going by the last fest, there will probably be a big breakfast gathering with lots of hungover dopers on Sunday morning.

I don’t think I wil be down on Friday noght, buy if there is anything going Saturday Afternoon before El Torito I would be interested, might as well make a day of it since I will be driving down there anyway.

Scotti called the airport and it looks like we probably won’t be able to hook up in the airport, so we’re going to meet at the Dollar Rent-A-Car agency, where I’m picking up the hoopty-van. You can pick up a shuttle at the terminal. Please e-mail me to confirm and I’ll e-mail you back with my cell #.
I think, right now, I have Scotti, JimB, Porcupine and boli as riding with us. Am I forgetting anyone? Porc, are you still going with us?

Any other travelers, based on what Demo relates above, I’ll be glad to meet you at Alamo Rent-a-Car where I’ll be picking up my car. I get in at 1:15 PM Friday and I don’t mind waiting a bit.
Diane, I called the airport, security people told me that when you leave the plane, you go to the baggage claim area (unless you are connecting to another flight, I guess) which is in the UNsecure part and you can’t get back into the secure area. I’m meeting Scotticher before we go meet Demo, she’s arriving United and I’m on American, the only place to meet is in the baggage claim area.
I don’t know how much there is to do in the UNsecure part while you wait, though.
