There’s not a designated person coming to gather everyone from the airport. Many are planning to take cabs to and from the motel, which seems like a good idea considering the pick-up problems at LAX of late. I think almost everyone is staying at the Ramada in Redondo Beach.

I can’t really make it down on Friday night , but was wondering if there was something on Saturday afternoon before El Torito? I figure I might as well make a day of it if I am going to be driving down to Redondo, anyway.

I called the motel just now to see about getting their meeting room for Friday night, thinking we could use that to hang out in and order a bunch of pizzas, have some beer, listen to music, etc. However, although the website says they have a meeting room, in reality, they don’t.
BUT…
They have a “sister” hotel just 3 miles down the street that MIGHT have a room that we could use. He’s going to check and see if it will be available.
BUT…
He would like to know exactly how many people from our group are registered at their motel. So will someone please post here and tell me how many rooms we have reserved there, under what names the reservations are and how many people will be staying there?

Tell you what, why don’t we email someone with that info, rather than have a bunch of folks IRL names splashed on the Board (I know some folks don’t care, but some do.)

I say me and those so inclined find the boy strip clubs (or at least the gay bars). In fact, Saturday night is Club Asia in Long Beach, one of the three biggest gay Asian boi nights out.

I took the liberty of putting Nym and nen, Uncle Bill and Silver Fire on my list because I know they’ve all got rooms, but I still need to know if any of you have other roomies and what name the rooms are registered under.

I have a {ahem} “date” Friday night in LA somewhere (quiet, you), so I will probably be hooking up with you folks sometime Saturday. From the sounds of it, I ought to just hang out at LAX, but more likely I’ll get a freakin’ room at the dang motel and find you weirdos there somehow (unless I crash with Coldie or Doob or someone else who offered, but if I do get a room, weirddave, you’re welcome to crash with me, but it’ll just be Saturday night - I seriously doubt either of us would have trouble finding someone to room with). If I may suggest, Shayna, leaving a message either at the front desk or on their reader board in the lobby with either contact information (“Call Room 123 for details”) or with actual event stuff (“We are at the beach”) for those arriving at various points throughout the day Saturday. If I miss y’all, I’ll just show up at the restaurant Saturday night.
Did I mention I was working on nametags? I’m debating between “I’m wanted by the FBI as…” and “Cecil couldn’t give a rat’s ass that my name on his message board is…” or something similar.
