Collar 6 A Bondage Fetish Webcomic

Not safe for work obvisiously…

anyone following it?

I gather that some S&M purists find it unaccurate, but seeing bondage isn’t a life style I’m considering, I don’t have a problem with that

The site is blocked in Saudi Arabia.

Er… does it get better? Don’t get me wrong, I like lesbians at least as much as the next guy, but looking at the first half-dozen strips it doesn’t really seem to offer much entertainment value.

So you’ve got two lesbian “Mistresses” having a dick-measuring contest…

Well, got as far as comic #72 before I had my first laugh, and not in a good way. The maid (who wears a latex uniform) angrily confronts the mistress’s new personal slave, who seems surprisingly clueless about what she’s embraced and apparently in need of much expositional clarification:

Maid: YOU ASSUMED! … Assumed that being owned means you’re a sex doll! That having the privilege of sleeping with a Mistress comes with being a sub. That the entire BDSM world is one big, glorified sex game. You make me sick.
Well, the strip went from being very mildly arousing to being creepy and cultish and self-important and pretentious, entirely like vampire wannabes who make up ridiculously elaborate social rules for their parents’ basement get-togethers.

I made it to 50 before I stopped, and if i was only getting one page per day, I don’t think I would have followed it for more then a day or two.

Honestly, it pretty accurately describes my experiences with the S&M crowd

I read a few pages…just silly soft-core hentai. Entirely unengaging.

Well, got all the way to the last strip and learned one thing:

Being into BDSM gives you magic powers!

…and aside from the jerks at the very beginning who get curtly and violently dismissed (I expect in reality, the guy who got slapped by the mistress who decided taking her latex-clad leash-wearing slave for a walk through a public park was a good idea would’ve immediately punched her lights out) there are no male characters in this story whatsoever. I guess a Y-chromosome would intrude on the wholesome lesbianess of it all.

I suppose it’s too much to hope that this was done on purpose? 'Cause that’s up there with “What, do you think Clown School is some kind of a joke!?”

Al indications are that the characters and the author are 100% serious about the subject, which means by the laws of snark that I can’t be.

This comic reminds me of The Family Circus in that I keep reading it despite never once being entertained by it.

Jumping to the end, I’m not sure that it’s intended to be a humorous comic. It seems to be more sci-fi.

Ditto.

Live action version

What really baffled me is the recent aforementioned plot twist that someone else mentioned: being into BDSM now gives you super-powers.

The two mistresses who are absorbed in a dick-measuring contest decided that a good ol’ fashion spank-off was the best way to settle things.

Cue giant pillars of fire and mistresses summoning dominant and submissive “spirit powers” to both boost the effectiveness of their beatdowns and shield themselves from the same. It’s like DBZ with crappier dialog. :smack:

i went ahead and read “About This Comic” before starting, where it explained that this is a fantasy series taking place in another universe where the S&M lifestyle is accepted by the general populace, and magic indeed takes place at the higher levels.

Alternating between ultra-fetish fantasy and sappy romanticism. It strongly reminds me of an old National Lampoon piece I ran across years ago, a combination of bondage comics, war comics and romance comics, which was freaking HILARIOUS because it poked all sorts of sly humor at the topic, like having a woman in a leather catsuit tied to a ladder in a burned out basement while bullets and explosions happened in the background, looking soulfully at her captor with her ballgagged face while a tear traces down her cheek, a thought bubble reading, "It’s not good night, Grulenka … it’s goodbye!!!

Whoever does this comic would do well to look up that old National Lampoon piece and see how it oughtta be done.
