Temple’s quarterback is going to be a quality pro someday. Wyoming did the best they could, but it just wasn’t good enough.
Idaho Potato Bowl - Ohio 24, Utah State 23
Didn’t watch this one. The famous blue field appeared to be just what Ohio needed to win their first bowl game ever.
New Orleans Bowl - University of Louisiana-Lafayette 32, San Diego State 30
Two missed extra points should have cost the Cajuns the win, but a 35 second, 49 yard drive including a five-yard penalty on the Aztecs after they attempted to chill the kicker with a timeout shortened Baer’s game-ending kick to fifty yards. Close game, not highly skilled by either team, but fun to watch.
I just hope the rest of the bowl season can be as exciting as today was! I started watching the Idaho Potato Bowl after seeing how the score was going on Yahoo! Glad I did. It and the New Orleans Bowl were some thrilling football. Cost me dearly in the Pick’em, both of them, but it was worth it.
With this start I’m going to be watching a lot more than I had planned to.
Yea, caught a bit of Montana and Sam Houston St. (I couldn’t find either one on the map.)
SHS had Montana down by 21 in the first 1/4. Looked like a total blowout. Turn it off. Montana came back. It was SHS 31-28 but it really came out to the last series of downs.
It’s not always about how good the teams are but rather how competitive the game is.
Yes. That’s the magic of college football. It happens in the pros as well, just not as often. Bowl season seems to bring it out in those teams that had to struggle to make it to the bowl. Win-loss records don’t always provide the clue to that sort of rhing.
Way to go, MAC! I think this league is underrated. Their OOC record always sucks balls, but that’s largely due to the fact that they have to go play the major conferences on the road. Rooting for the MAC to win at least one of their two remaining games. The WMU-Purdue game has me torn between rooting for an in-state school and my daughter’s school vs. rooting for a Big Ten brother.
I’m looking forward to seeing three Big Ten teams take it to the SEC at the same time on Jan. 2.
Counting ULL as an “Eastern” School, the East is 3-0 against Western Schools.
I don’t count San Diego State Univ. as an Eastern school, yet.
BobLimDem, you’re funny.
Caught most on the New Mexico game. didn’t watch any football on Smurf field, (it hurts my eyes). Only the last two minute of the New Orleans Bowl.
