College Football 2023

UCF is getting held by K-State on every defensive play, but it hasn’t been called a single time with 6:20 remaining in the first half.

Welcome to the Big 12. Mediocre officiating is the norm on the gridiron.

Well at least Michigan State has given its fans reason to look forward to basketball and hockey. It sucks when you know 5 minutes into the game that you’re going to lose. At least we’ve got some time to shop for a new coach. Dear God, don’t steal Colorado’s coach again.

Marvin Harrison Jr. just came off the field with an injury to his legs sustained while blocking on an Ohio State touchdown that gave the Buckeyes a 10-0 lead on Notre Dame.

No word yet as to the severity of the injury.

Harrison is out of the tent and on his feet.

Notre Dame loses as time runs out. Better than Viagra!

I guess not. That was a horribly officiated game and the announcers didn’t mention it until the last three minutes.

UCF certainly didn’t help out their own cause, however. An incredibly stupid roughing the passer (which was the correct call), and failure by the qb to throw the ball away were two big plays with the game still in the balance.

Yes, running out of bounds was the worst of about 13 different things he could have done. But he’s a redshirt sophomore making his 10th start (and only his second after sitting out 2022.) That shit will happen.

#5 USC is playing like shit so far. Ahead, but really look bad!

Revealed later on that Notre Dame defense only had 10 men on the field at the time. Just makes it Sweeter!

Colorado was getting shelled by USC until, to their credit, they made a game of it by scoring the last 20 points to lose by 7. Trojans were looking great until their late struggles both on offense and defense.

Georgia scored a late TD to beat Auburn by 7.

Texas crushed Kansas 40-14. KU’s starting quarterback was a late scratch, and their offense struggled all afternoon.

Baylor scored 29 straight points, 26 in the 4th quarter, to beat UCF 36-35. Baylor has not looked very strong this year, as their only prior win was over Long Island.

I’ve been a college football fan for a very long time, and I can’t recall Duke ever being any good. Nice to see—gives hope to us fans of other longtime doormats.

Btw, ND QB Sam Hartman looks exactly like a character on Schitt’s Creek (Mutt).

What a Messed Up Day of Football. ‘SC playing at 9 am, barely hanging on, Notre Damn salvaging a win, Ol’ Miss and LSU both not losing, Alabama playing in the middle of the night. What the hell?

I shoulda gone outside, but it was raining.

UCF lost three or four starting linemen in the second half and was paying with its backup QB. But yeah it was an epic collapse.

UCF will fight it out with Houston and Oklahoma State for worst team in the Big 12. The Gus bus is leaking oil and smoking.

Miami throws the game away by not realizing that kneeling on the ball when the other team is out of timeouts guarantees the win. It wouldn’t be nearly as hilarious if head coach Mario Cristobal hadn’t made the exact same mistake in 2018 when coaching Oregon against Stanford. Miami would be well within their rights to fire him Monday morning.

Cal went into the season with 2 transfer portal QBs and a well-regarded freshman. The 2 xfers have both played with decidedly mediocre results leading to the inevitable cries from the fandom of “Why not give the freshman a shot?”.

Saturday night against the #15 Oregon State Beavers, they did just that. And he looked pretty good. We still have no shot at bowl eligibility but at least this give us a glimmer of hope for the future.

USC is getting less impressive every week. Squeaking out a 3-OT game against Arizona was not what was on my Dance Card Saturday Night. Gotta play the Domers next week and I wanna see a complete Asskicking of the Irish. Not no stinking single-digit win late. I want it over by half-time!

I didn’t see this, or know what happened, but I can image it was hard to watch.
