I don’t know about that. I wasn’t completely sold on either one - but I thought FSU’s defense looked pretty damn good. And you know what they say: defense wins championships. True, they gave up some big yardage plays - particularly on important third downs - but they’ll get better. Hayes in particular looked like a mutant troll on steroids flying all over the field.

About their offense - Weatherford didn’t impress me, but he was having to do too much. The OL has to make some holes so that Lorenzo Booker can do his thing. Again - they’ll get better.

But here’s what I really came to say - their schedule? Not too tough. They’ve got a real game at Clemson and a real game at UF. Maybe, you can worry about the BC game, but that’s it. Especially given the way Maryland and Virginia played this weekend.

Just my two cents (not a FSU fan here), but I think that FSU could easily win the ACC this year. If so, I think they’ll end up top 10. At this point, just to say it, they’re a lot goddamn better than Oklahoma (currently ranked 10th), and they deserve to break into the top 10 this week.

Unless they lose the Clemson game, I think they’ll be top 10 for quite a while.

I’m glad USC won the way they did. I’m still fragile.

Was inpressed with Oregon’s weapons. They could be fun to watch this year.

Otherwise, the Pac 10 kinda stunk up the joint, especially Cal. But what can you expect. :wink:

Both teams looked pretty good tonight, too bad they both couldn’t lose. :smiley:

God, I hate the whole state of Florida.

One more thought: F*ing notre dame. (They don’t deserve capitol letters.)
