College Football week 11

Devin Gardner looks good. He looks real good. Granted Iowa is not a defensive powerhouse, but still nice to see. And of course as a Real Football Fan™ all it does is piss me off. What this season could have been if Gardner had been given the second half against Notre Dame, and the replacement against Nebraska. :frowning: I want to love Hoke, by why was he so stupid. Opposed to a lot of recent Michigan QBs, Gardner, gets noticeably better over time.

If Rich-Rod hadn’t blown his freshman year just to fuc with Tate’s head, and Hoke had given him a chance earlier…

If Robinson learned how to throw the ball as well as even an average QB…

The SEC is embarrassing themselves today. Three top ten teams are struggling with mid-majors.

To early? Should I wait till half-time? End of the game?

Just let me know…

It’s time now.

Time for MSU to put Dantonio on a short leash- that’s way too many winnable games that slipped away. Having only one RB and an erratic QB makes for a L-O-N-G season. One more season like this and sayonara.

The SEC embarrassed themselves not by their play but by their schedule. OOC foes today:
Jacksonville State
Samford
Syracuse (ok, not THAT bad)
Sam Houston State
Alabama A&M
Wofford
Georgia Southern
West Carolina

I’d like to see a rule that you get at most one OOC game against a non-major conference plus have to play at least one OOC game on the road.

Look at my Baylor Bears. Heh.

Baylor, WTF?

That was the worst called play from your own 1 yard line I have ever seen in all of my years watching football.

You throw to a wide receiver that is standing in the end zone? and covered?

Even if he catches it, half of those types of plays end up losing yardage.

Baylor 45
#1 Kansas State 24

Are you kidding me? Sic um!

52-24

Yeah baby.

I was in Baylor Stadium about 13 years ago when Bill Snyder had Michael Bishop as QB and up 40 or so points near game end K State called a timeout with a second left so that on the last play they could run up the score to help their national ranking. Classless play and I’ve despised Snyder ever since.

Schadenfreude? Out the fucking yingyang.

Great! So we’re going to have fucking Alabama in the BCS title game again? FML.

And the SEC is BACK in the BCS Picture. LMAO. I think the SEC Haters will have their knickers in a knot!
Edit: Post above!

They’re fucking boring to watch! And it’s the same team every year! Sorry, I like to be entertained.

Edit: I had no problem with Auburn being in the BCSCG because they were enjoyable.

Beat SC.

My dad and I are having a debate. Please place your votes before the polls come out. My dad says that it’s an absolute given that Georgia will be ranked #3 tomorrow. I say Oregon will be #3.

(Maybe I’m focusing too much on remembering how USC (the REAL USC) whooped the crap out of Georgia months ago, but I really can’t see Georgia as a top 5 team.)

I’m not asking who you THINK should be #3, I’m asking who you to predict the polls, specifically who will be #3 tomorrow. (Of course, I could be wrong in predicting that 'Bama will be #2, but I doubt it.)

Bama-Notre Dame for the BCS Championship. I love it. Bama will continue the SEC consecutive title streak.

Roll Tide!

Yes, Same team. That is why it could be Georgia this year. And LSU a three years ago. And Florida 4 years and 6 years ago.

Same team indeed.

Hypothetical question #2: Let’s say Notre Dame loses and Alabama wins the SEC championship, is there any chance that Florida makes the NCG? I say no, but it’s a scenario that I heard proposed.

Oh yeah, Roll Tide, and Go SEC!

IMO, the computers will have Georgia #3. The computers have not given much credit to Oregon’s SoS. Playing Stanford today will help, but they lost. And it also hurt Oregon that USCw lost today. And if the conspiracy buffs are correct, there is a Pro-SEC bias, and anti-West Coast bias.

Admittedly Georgia’s SoS will not be helped too much by playing Ga Southern.

FWIW: SoS = Strength of Schedule
