Colorado Dopers

LOL AWB

I was told before I moved there from a guy I was dating that was from GJ that I had to be careful. If I left I would have what the locals call “Junctionitis” once you live there if you leave you have this extreme need to move back. To top that off, I dreamed last night that I had moved back in the house I used to live in over there!

Me thinks Junctionitis is truth!

C Springs isn’t too bad, but somehow GJ and Denver keep calling my name!

As kids, we had a legend that the Indians that were displaced when white men moved in placed a curse on the Grand Valley. Anyone who lived there was destined to die there.

The only way to break the curse is to perform one of the many rituals that went along with this legend. The one I heard most is that you had to kiss the ground as you left the valley, or the curse would call you back.

I’ve always felt silly about kissing the tarmac at Walker Field, or I-70 leaving Palisade. Besides, my parents retired there, so maybe the curse will get me discount tickets to visit if I’m destined to return.
