Damn…you had to bring up Hockey…I MISS the NHL…I need a spliff now. :dubious:
Can somebody tell me what happens with insurance companies in you have an accident when you are stoned whilst driving a car or operating machinery, are you covered by the insurer?
Ahhhhh. Now I think I get it.
Probably saw Reefer Madness in its first run at the theater, eh?
As a sadist, I disagree. As would the masochists I play with.
My my my, aren’t you Mr. Buzzkill McBuzzkillington?
:dubious: Never heard anyone include Colorado in the Midwest…
And why wouldn’t you expect this from CO? They’ve had medical marijuana and lots and lots of dispensaries for a while now, this was the next logical step forward from that whole farce.
Colorado isn’t the Midwest, it’s the Mountain West. Completely different culture. I’ve lived in both, and the differences are pretty substantial, especially when it comes to things like legalizing marijuana and other Culture War battles. (Although, Minnesota is sometimes less Midwestern and more… Scandinavian, almost. I wouldn’t be massively shocked if Minnesota legalized weed before the Feds did. Missouri, on the other hand, will keep fucking this chicken for as long as it’s allowed to.)
Maybe he was thinking of this?
I am sorry that you had the injuries that you had, and you have as much right to your opinion as I.
Since when is wondering judgmental? If you are a user I think that is your business not mine, nor would I expect you to think as I do. You have personal freedoms the same as we all should.
What has that got to do with mind altering drugs?
I haven’t watched a movie in about 40 years! I do know someone who is in prison who was high while driving, and killed someone, now he, and his family are suffering the consequence.
I am not against legalizing marijuana, I don’t think it is any worse than liquor. If one uses any of those types of drugs it is not my busiess of what they do. I am not the police, nor do I want to be. I see no future in it except for the makers of it. I can see that if it is legalized it will cut down on the buying of it illegally just like liquor was in the 20’s.
You’re not just wondering:
Your’re judging, making assumptions about what others do, and being presumptuous enough to assert they are harming others. Don’t pull this “I was just wondering, what’s wrong with that?” bit * Big Doe Eyes *, you’re putting lipstick on your pig and trying to tell us it’s Jesus’ own mother.
Grow a pair and just come out and say, “I have an opinion, and this is it: I think people who smoke pot are ignorant and whether they know it or not, are destroying their own lives and damaging those around them.” You’ll get disagreed with, but at least you’ll retain some measure of integrity.
Remember parents, letting your son watch My Little Pony contributes to heroine addiction.
Because friendship is magic!
Caffeine is a mind altering drug.
Civilian DoD employee in Colorado. Former military. I told my employees not to even be in a room with anyone smoking pot even if it is legal. I don’t know if “contact high” is a myth or not, but I told them not to risk their clearances and paychecks by taking a chance that second hand smoke could make them pop positive on a drug test (yes, federal employees, federal law–no pot).
I also feel sorry for the first sergeants and commanders at the 8 + military installations within Colorado. I know they’ll tell their personnel not to do it, but 21 year olds aren’t well known for listening. With this free access, more people are going to make the wrong decisions, get caught and ruin their lives with a less than honorable discharge.
Ah, so you do then!
Not unusual, most people love their mood-altering chemicals.
Looks like you’re no better than anyone else, regardless of how smugly you disapprove of them.
Well, Manning had this planned out Apparantly Payton bought up 21 Papa John’s franchises within the Denver area just before the election.
So those soon-to-be ex-Fed employees will always have SOME kind of work.
