That read to me like a breadcrumb so we’d have an insight into which kills were his once he was confirmed by death later.
Didn’t we just discuss this being the exact WRONG thing to do?
I’m not comfortable with lynching either of them. I wouldn’t be surprised to find out one was the SK and the other was the Vigilante–and therefore I think they can sort each other out.
I’m worrying myself about the fringe possibilities like “pedescribe is scum, peekercpa is SK”. Both of those guys play randomly enough that I wouldn’t put it past either of 'em.
Peeker’s position was that the Vig should claim. His action is entirely consistent with his stated position. Other people disagreed, but I don’t remember Peeker saying he was convinced by their arguments.
I tend to agree that the Vig should remain hidden, but there are arguments in favour of the counterclaim.
Yeah, but I didn’t buy it 100% - after all, several of the Town players were QQing in the spoiled thread about how Gastardly a roleblock-immune Godfather was.
I let it slide at the time because I figured I’d get more of a read from you from the rest of the day’s posts.
I’m not a mathematician and I don’t have hard numbers. But I just know that half the time we end up lynching vanilla town in the beginning. It just seems spectacularly unlikely to me that we just so happened to pick an important town role. Not even like a role blocker–a cool, sexy killing role, like the vig! Just WAY too convenient.
what mhaye said. i think that a one for one is always in town’s best interest. ped very well could be lying and be a vt or a town power role. but if he is the false claim would be so anti town as to justify his removal anyways. i mean he either gets a counterclaim or he gets targeted. either play is way bad.
i think he claimed this to save his butt hoping that he would get investigated and show up town. then when i, the real vig, showed up he would just call b.s. and potentially have the dick confirm that he is town. shoot, enough confusion to not only potentially get a mislynch but also unearth the detective.
i am going to eliminate that nonsense. also, the odds of glomming onto another scum or the sk toDay is slim. i know that certain folks say let the other powers hammer it out at Night. that means that most likely we will lynch a townie which is not ideal or glom onto a power role resulting in a claim which is worse.
and i agree with mhaye. he could very well be the sk, but i also wouldn’t be surprised if he is gf. matter of fact his play suggests the latter. try to draw attention and get an investigation which confuses all sorts of stuff. problem is he got too far down the bunny hole and had to come up with a false claim hoping that the real vig wouldn’g counter claim (as appears to be recommended). i mean at least that way he gets a 1 in 15 chance of a block saving his ass as opposed to a zero chance toNight if he is already dead.
I gave my reasons for my vote on Cookies. It may seem to you as a stretch, but to me it makes perfect sense, and seems a lot more solid that your previous insistence that pedescribe be lynched over some trivial point of strategy.
I pointed out what I saw as a glaring inconsistency in pedescribe’s post. I made the comment about Cookies, because she had made a post before that people should not take me off their scrutiny lists.
Your counter-claim reeks btw. What exactly is the point of it? If you are really the vig, why break cover for no reason? Why are you protecting Freudian? Was that so-called trap a little day 1 bussing?
The only good thing is that this isn’t going to be nearly as bad a clusterfuck as it could be–unless one of pedescribe or peeker are a lying townie, we’re going to nail at least one-two scum or the SK here.
The roleblocker is WAY more potent than the vig, IMHO–I’ve seen too many vigs single-handedly destroy town by being wrong all the time.
It’s really statistically likely we’ll hit a townie on day one unless scum screws up. It’s not even close to unheard of that a town power role gets big in their (invisible to us) britches and gets tagged on day one. Frankly I suspect that you’re bussing–not that we know if scum know who scum are yet.
We COULD get a power role, I’m just saying the likelihood that the person who’s on the chopping role being that power role? Seems like BS to me, frankly.
