I have just made my hotel reservation for 11/6 at the Holiday Inn on Lane St. If anyone else in interested in staying there the phone number is: 614-294-4848. I got a double for $99.00, a bit pricey but what the hell, it’s only money; I get more every week. I’m sure there are other hotels in the area a bit cheaper but this sounds like the easiest thing.

Other hotels in the general vicinity include a Ramada Inn and a Best Western on Olentangy River Road. Those are within a 2-5 minute drive from the aforementioned pricey Holiday Inn, and I can give people directions if need be.
There’s also ‘Cross Country Inn,’ where my cheapo-Poppa stayed when he came to town. I’d presume (?) DB can help with directions for that, too.
My knowledge of Columbus geography, as an ‘imported-for-educational-purposes-only’ type is unfortunately limited to two or three semi-important roads and intersections.
I’ve been out of touch for a while - home PC has been down and been too busy at work. So now that it’s fixed I see I almost missed an event! Saturday 11/6 6 PM, right?. I will try hard to be there. Earlier that day I will be downtown at Vet’s Memorial for the International Festival. If anyone is looking for something to do that day, check it out. Lots of good ethnic food, music, etc.
I’m going to start an e-mail group for this little gathering. If you don’t have your e-mail address available and you want to be a part of it, please e-mail me at lmaia78@hotmail.com and I’ll add you to the list.
So, would you Hayseeds please recap your plans, including dates and times? Never know when a private chopper from New York might land on the roof of the Columbus Holiday Inn. We’d want to be able to find you if the Helipad has a lot of traffic.
You got it Melanie, anything for a beer drinkin’ sax player, even if you’s from NYC.
