I just got a new digital cable box from comcast and got a lot more dead channels than I need.
Is it possible to program the remote to simply skip a channel, so I can more efficiently surf?
We’re probably gonna need a manufacturer and model number of the set-top box to figure that out. The function you seek is going to be implemented in the box, not the remote.
You can set up a favorites list with only the channels you want.
Should be in the manual that came with the box.
You can also view the manuals and demos online. I think using the Favorites option is going to be what you need.
