Thank you all for your kind words and emails of support. As I’m sure you can appreciate we’re both very excited and happy. I’m a ball of emotions here and - to be quite honest - a little unsure what to post here.
Yes, I know, it’s not that often that I’m at a loss for words but at the moment I’m just too focused on getting to The Girl. The one who has my heart, and I’m not going to get it back: no, I’m ensuring she knows it’s hers. Forever.
Hell, even the thought of the 24 hour flight doesn’t seem daunting. Not with her waiting at the other end.
p.s. Yes, I do have a short layover in LA and yes Shayna is coming out to meet me (woo!!!). If you’re in the area Sunday morning gang feel free to join us. It could be the shortest (and even the strangest) Dopefest ever!!

Oh my. This is too freaky… I had a dream not too long ago that dpr was coming to visit Nym, but had to stop in California and stay with me for 4 days before he went to Chicago! Now I find out that his layover is in LA!
I so, so want to make it out to LA to meet him, even if it is for only 2 hours. However, I’ve been told that the drive is about 9 hours from here (South Bay/San Jose). And I have to work Sunday 9-5. Add that to the fact that my sense of direction is abominable, and the airport is huge and scary and I’d probably have to go alone. Plus, I’m afraid that my dream karma would make his flight be cancelled or something, and I sure don’t want to incur the Wrath of Nymysys™ and make dpr get stuck in California for 4 days!!
If something comes up and it looks possible for me to make it out there, I’ll email dpr or Shayna for details.
