Come on down, bob_loblaw!

BTW who said a pitting had to involve swearing? I tried it once and didn’t like the result.

Well, over here I note that the problem is not what he said, but rather where and how he said it.

He did post a rant in the wrong forum. We all agree on that, right?

Further, his post is, well, somewhat incomprehensible. The meaning I gleaned from it is that he’s upset about us going on about “white” tragedies while ignoring “brown” tragedies in, say, Afghanistan and Africa. You read it as indignation over flag flying behavior. Going back to the post that started all this, either one of us could be right (or both of us – or neither). His ability to express himself and his reaction to SkipMagic’s warnings make Scott_Plaid look well-reasoned and thoughtful by comparison.

The word he used was “darkies” not just “brown” what an outstanding proponent he is for racial harmony and ending discrimination.
I mourn bob_loblaw, such a sad pathetic being.

Do you really “mourn” him? If so, for what reason?

IMO, the “darkies” comment was meant as sarcasm. Is sarcasm (or misplaced sarcasm, depending on your viewpoint) enough to inspire mourning? (or is it “sarcastic” mourning?)

As I’ve said before, can anyone deny that western media doesn’t apply a double standard in the coverage and “mourning” of tragic death?

If you can’t deny that, how do you feel justified attacking that aspect of bob_loblaw’s posts? Are you attacking bob_loblaw or the truth?

In this thread? Darned if I know. I must be missing that post.

Differences in media coverage have nothing to do with racism, or a double standard. Most differences can be explained by language barriers, frequency of occurrence, “event expectancy”, local interest variances, or the simple lack of a cooperating local news bureau or affiliate. There is nothing nefarious involved, regardless of what you choose to believe.

And we feel justified in attacking bob_loblaw because he’s an elitist, racist, self-righteous snob who mocked and taunted someone who was showing support for terror victims! I mean, of all the people to find fault with…he chose someone who is being supportive and kind. What an ass.
