I only liked the original Star Trek, all of the others seem kinda silly and I’d rather not watch them.
I have a vast collection of Perry Mason paperbacks from the 50’s and 60’s and can’t wait to read them again even though, yes, I know, they all seem to end the same.
I’m not a fan at all of the outer space genre TV shows. I’ve seen most of the original Star Trek, and absolutely nothing like that since.
In fact, I’ve only seen the original trio of Star Wars movies.
I think all things considered, I’d much rather live in the US than anywhere else, and yes I have traveled pretty extensively thank you.
I really like Peanuts. If I could get a Snoopy, I’d get a dog.
I like I-tunes, and my I-pod. They get bashed here a lot by the techies, but they work for me, and so I like them.
I even like the ‘bad’ years of the Simpsons.
I like the Mods here, I think they do a good job in a difficult situation, and once in a while when they get Pitted for being snarky or whatever, I have to go back, read the offending post and ask myself if the level of tolerance by some people needs just a BIT of a nudge, because I usually don’t see the offense.
The above was NOT sucking up, I meant it.
I could watch Cops all day long.
Any recipe that has more than 5 ingredients (not counting spices) or takes more than 30 minutes to prep bores me and will never be made in my kitchen.
Many times I refrain from posting on a topic because I dislike having to qualify everything I say.
To use a silly example, if I post on my love for blue pens, I feel I have to say I hold nothing against those who use black pens, pencils or crayons. If I don’t, another poster will come along and say, “well I use pink neon pens and what’s wrong with that?”
I don’t like having to think of every possible response and preempt them. But one of the features I love about this board is that hardly anything slips by unnoticed and you DO have to back up what you say. This board forces you to look at everything you think and know from all sides, and you’d damn well better know what you’re talking about or why you feel a certain way. I’m just not very good at that.
I don’t hate Starbucks, though not being a coffee drinker, I don’t go out of my way to drink there. I do love their nonfat chai lattes.
I like chain restaurants. Prefer them, in fact.
I’ve never seen a reality TV show. I like my TV with scripts and trained actors. That said, I abhor laugh tracks. I won’t watch any TV show that has them.
Right now, I don’t have a single beer in the house that would pass ordinary beer thread muster. It’s all Pabst and Miller High Life and I’m enjoying them too. I’ll go back, but these are just so freaking drinkable.
Hostile Dialect–I meant the Opal in “hi, Opal!” in the lists. No idea if OpalCat is THAT Opal. Don’t care.
And I LIKE the MMP. It’s where the Cool Kids hang out. Oops, posted that in the wrong thread, apparently…
I like the MMP, it’s a nice place to be on a Monday when the rest of the world looks grim.
I went off Family Guy a long time ago, and I’ve never really bothered with The Simpsons. I guess I’m not that much of a television bunny either.
I like Starbucks but wish the UK outlets had the same range of seasonal coffee that the US ones have. I am still pining for that lovely caramel apple coffee, it was like drinking pie filling.
I don’t really give a stuff about grammar and spelling, as long as I can understand what your post is trying to say.
Errr…and I’m a nice person really, no matter what you might think!
I don’t do anything uncool. I’m just like everybody else. I hate Starbucks and Wal-Mart, I worship European stuff, I love cats and sports and LOTR and fantasy and Firefly, I’ve never made a grammatical error in 3,000 posts, and I’m constantly cracking jokes about OpalCat and the Marianas Trench and 1920’s-style Death Rays.
Am I cool? Do people think I’m cool? Pleeeeeeeeeeease, is there somebody out there who thinks I’m cool?
No? Oh, well, screw it then. I wouldn’t know Firefly from Frodo.
