I had the good luck to see him open for Tracy Morgan at Caroline’s in 2003. He blew Morgan out of the water (not that difficult a task, I’ll admit) and I’ve been a big fan of his ever since. Sounds like he had the stroke last week and it was just announced this morning by his friend Jim Norton on the Opie & Anthony Show. No information on his condition or prognosis, but it sounds pretty bad. Here’s hoping he can recover and get back up on stage soon.
That sucks. They were joking about his diabetes and his health on the Charlie Sheen Roast. Hope he recovers fully!

I read the headline to my husband and he said, “Again?”
“Yes dear, she’s having another stroke in heaven. Meanwhile Patrice Neal had one here on Earth.”

Exactly what I thought! Odd how I still remember that to this day. Didn’t even know who she was back then, but the stroke made her even more famous.
