Monty Burns and Abe Simpson stole a bunch of paintings back when they were members of the Flying Hellfish in WWII.
I’m not sure exactly which commandment (if any) this would fall under, but I would think Bart selling his soul to Milhouse for $5 would be a violation of something.
How did Ms. Krabappel commit adultery? She’s not married and neither is Skinner.
How did Comic Book Guy and Agnes commit adultery? All they did was go on a few dates. If sex was implied (and I’m asserting it wasn’t), it still isn’t adultery because neither is married.
Ditto that on the episode where Homer goes to hell for eating the forbidden doughnut (I oughtta know…) He gets bailed out by Marge (no thanks to Lionel Hutz) with a photo wherein he pledges her his immortal soul (or something like that) and therefore cannot sell what does not belong to him. Theft by fraud…
Also, does stealing Flanders’ ORU diploma from the trash count?

As I said, it depends on how one defines adultery. Some sects define it as any sex out of the bonds of holy matrimony. Since Seymour and Edna are not married to each other, it’s adultery. Ditto CBG and Agnes, who I maintain did have a sexual relationship based on the fact that CBG was busted for the bootleg tapes while in bed with her.
Oh, and Krusty steals jokes and doesn’t pay a living wage to his sweatshop workers, thereby stealing their labor.
Well I’ve never heard that definition of adultery before and I’d have thought the 10 commandments were about the most unambigous bits of the bible. Do ‘sects’ have a right to interpret the commandments as they see fit? I’m almost tempted to ask for a cite…?!
There must be an awful lot of christians in pre-marital relations who don’t realise they’ve already committed a cardinal sin…!!
Just remembered one for adultery. At the end of the Cape Fear-esque episode Chief Wiggum & the whole police force are shown coming out of a brothel wearing bath robes.
Adultery is technichally defined as “Voluntary sexual intercourse between a married person and a partner other than the lawful spouse.” [Dictionary.com Based on that definition, none of the 4 parties mentioned above are guilt of adultery. I do, however, agree withyou, Otto, that CBG and Agnes had sexual relations. It was probably the show’s most nausiating scene.
