No job.
No dryer. Washer but no dryer. We dry clothes the old fashioned way. I hardly think about it anymore.
Same here.
I have a dishwasher now, but lived for 14 years without one, and I didn’t really miss it. It feels so luxurious to just load the dirty dishes, add detergent, turn it on and walk away.
no dish washer /cry
One could make the argument that that’s not a common thing to have anymore. :\
I’ve never had cable and never missed it.
No house plants either.
Library card.
I live in an unincorporated area, and would have to pay over $200 a year for my family to have cards. We used to do it, but between the kids’ school libraries, paperbackswap.com, a good book exchange at work and Border’s/Barnes and Noble, we do OK without it.
No blender
No pets
No printer
No cable or satellite
No coffemaker (don’t drink coffee)
I don`t own a comb. Do normal men comb their hair? I would comb my hair every morning until I was about 12. It hasn’t been combed since.
Until a few years ago, I didn’t have a TV.
I dont’ consider not having a land line lacking anything these days unless they don’t have a cell phone either. Many people are getting rid of the expense of having two lines.
The main difference I see in landline vs. no landline is families versus singles. Singles have cellphones; family residences (some combination of adults and children related by blood, marriage, or some similar partnership/commitment) have landlines in addition to whatever cellphones they have. People with roommates may fall on either side of this, depending on how close of friends the roommates are.
The distinction, I guess, is something like, “Is the caller trying to reach a specific person?” or “Is the caller trying to reach anyone from the household?”
A life.
Or this song?
I don’t have a portable music player of any sort.
This is a rarity in my generation.
