“And his dumb baby, damn!”

“Did you just call me in here to stare at me?”

Offense taken!

If they do bring back Todd, which I hope they do, I hope they turn him into a Ned Flanders type instead of a villain. I think our weird little rag-tag group would find someone who was unbearably nice in the face of hostility terribly uncomfortable.

Well, didn’t they encounter the “unbearably nice guy” already, that doctor who claimed to be a beginner at pottery? Jeff, as I recall, was the only one who hated the guy, though he ran to his apartment at the end of an episode, asking to be taught how to fake being nice.

I don’t think the doctor appeared again after that, though.

He was back in the zombie episode, and late last season when Annie wanted him in the group.

You’re right, of course. The storylines are starting to smear together for me.

I didn’t see any indication Jeff learned anything from him, though. As I recall, at the end of that episode, Jeff storms into the study room during a “broadcast” of Troy and Abed in the Morning, guest-starring the doctor, and is back to his usual bitter self.

That’s true. Rich (or Dr. Banana) does already fill those shoes. As you mentioned though, only Jeff really hated his guts and only because he was jealous of him. I don’t think anyone’s really jealous of Todd. He just seems like the type to be everyone’s whipping boy to me. Besides, they already have a regular evil antagonist in the form of Chang.

Chang isn’t evil. He’s just insane.

Second season Chang was insane. First season Chang was arguably evil (sort of). Ok, maybe just power-mad. How about highly unpleasant?

“A matchbook… there’s something cluey about this.”

I loved this episode. It was the token zany and silly one, but the crazy Chang plot, and the constant blaming of the groups issues on Todd until he finally lost his shit had me in stitches.

“WHAT’S WRONG WITH YOU PEOPLE… HUH?!”

Also, am I the only one, or was “Omar’s” tangent about Legos hit anyone as oddly wistful and even insightful. Was it just supposed to paint him as weird? Because, I kind of agreed with that perspective… because it’s not just Legos; when did everything become so tedious?

For me, it was one of those great little moments when someone expresses an opinion you didn’t even realize you had. When DID Legos get so complicated? I also thought it was a great line because of all the changes that had to take place while Omar was in prison, THAT’S the one that’s really bothering him?

Can’t he be both, like the late Earl Warren?

I loved the legos bit as well. It is so true. I don’t think it made him seem weird. I think that bit plus all his dialogue this episode seem to suggest that he went to prison during a simpler time and came out of prison only to be greeted by a world that no longer makes an sense. Greendale, of course, never made any sense, but someone that just came out of prison wouldn’t be expected to know that Greendale’s not representative of the entire world outside.

“Your love is weird!”
