Community 11/10 - Studies in Modern Movement

“He tweeted it!”

A little uneven, but plenty to enjoy. I loved the hitchhiker and the changing reactions to him.

The musical montage was ridiculously funny!

Also, last week I was distracted by Twitter while I was watching Community so this week I promised myself I would put my phone away and of course they have the “Twitter Episode”. COMMUNITY!! <shakes fist>

This isn’t directly related to this episode, but some of y’all might enjoy this videoJoel McHale made for People’s Sexiest Man Alive issue.

I want a dreamatorium.

wipes tear from eye I liked Horsebot 3000. sniff

A little rough but still very funny. I loved Jeff and Dean’s duet.

Who was the guy who played Jesus? I missed it in the credits.

That was definitely the best part. The random karaoke images in the background, Jeff getting into it, etc.

My first thought when I saw it was that they were trying to model a holodeck.

I loved how uncomfortable Jeff looked during the duet and how Pelton was looking lovingly into his eyes.

But then by the end of the song Jeff was getting into it, which I loved. I guess no one can resist “Kiss from a Rose.” I also enjoyed when they started fighting but the music video images on the green screen continued playing.

Also loved how when Pelton punched in the number for the song, he said, “We’ve sang it a thousand times together,” and then uttered real quietly, “in my mind.”

To the tune of “Sailing” by Christopher Cross!

Suddenly I’m craving girl yogurt that helps Jamie Lee Curtis poop.

The episode did seem a little aimless and the situations were cliche, but I enjoyed the heck out of it. There was a sweetness to the episode that was more reminiscent of season one that I really liked.

Also, everything about the Dean and Jeff was made of win. They even wore matching outfits.

Pelton: This is gonna be fun! [sub]or else…[/sub]

I’m pretty sure that’s what it was.

The actor who played the hitchhiker, Brendan Hunt, is what I would anticipate a son born to Quentin Tarantino and Nicholas Brendon would look like. (I thought it was either Nicholas Brendon [or his twin brother, Kelly, who acts sometimes] when I was watching it.)

They certainly did a fast job of painting and decorating the room.

Still, a major like as usual. I honestly don’t remember the last episode of Community that made me say “Meh”.

This is all gay code.

Was this the first episode that didn’t feature greendale at all?

No, just off the top of my head there was the other episode that took place in the apartment, the multiple timelines one.

The mockumentary hospital one too.
