It’s a chase scene staple.
OK, I think I understand now. Thanks.
Yea, I kinda liked the big-brother/little sister dynamic they had before they started playing up romance angle. Partially because the age difference makes any romance a little creepy (she’s supposed to be ~18 while he must be pretty close to 30 to have already had a successful law career), and partially because sit-coms in general suffer from to many romantic sub-plots and not enough on other types of relationships people have with eachother.
Joel McHale was born in 1971. He’s 39. I thought he was something like 35, so I wasn’t too far off.
did anyone else get a vague “making-fun-of-inception” vibe? i know it’s a little bit of a reach but…
Maybe if you watched Inception.
Nice grouping on the shotgun blast. Just the right amount of spread. The prop guys are paying attention.
“Sorry you’re going to miss the Civil Rights Museum.”
The appearance of Professor Professorson struck me as one of the greatest setups for a plotline ever. Never occurred to me that the Dean could have been behind it, yet from a mystery novel perspective it was obvious and perfect in retrospect.
A season that includes that KFC Spicecraft and this: Community is now officially the best show on television.
I loved the glimpse of Britta with looked like some kind of Baltar style drug sex freak cult.
Yeah, that was great plot twist. I was thinking, “it make so much sense, because if the dean audits all the classes, then he would find out the night school is fake,” only to have that ripped out from underneath me.
Was the cop played by Dino “Star-Burns” Stamatopoulos? I thought it looked like him but I forgot to read the credits, and IMDB doesn’t say.
Credits are here. They indicate Craig Cackowski; I recognize him from the Pictionary windmill incident.
Good credits joke, too.
Also, since when does nbc.com do international streaming?
Pretty sure it was an Eyes Wide Shut reference.
It’s been a long time since I saw that movie. Can you describe the scene it referenced?
Tom Cruise’s character sneaks into an orgy where everyone is wearing black cloaks and masks. An opulent red is the dominate colour in the scene, which is already filled with warm light. After Tom Cruise’s character is discovered, he’s escorted to the master of ceremonies who confronts him about the orgy’s password. The scene is set to simple piano tune.
Yeah, there was some piano music playing in that Britta scene that sounds very similar to the Eyes Wide Shut piano music.
Also love Annie’s diorama at the beginning. The car drives from a toxic, hellish landscape complete with black skies, fire, and skeletons to the “brighter tomorrow” with blue skies and rainbows and a pegasus and a treasure chest and of course all the happy animals in sunglasses.
Shirley: “My boys are in elementary school–they don’t make nearly as many dioramas as we do.”
I really dislike flashback episodes. The one last season at the hospital is probably my least favorite.
“We’ve started looting.”
Which episode at the hospital? I can’t remember an episode of this show that took place in a hospital.
