Not as good as part one, but still streets ahead of most other shows. I was surprised that the whole paintball game was resolved 20 minutes in though.
I think my favorite part of the whole show was Abed talking to the not-amused janitor during the credit cookie. “I don’t know how we are going to top it next year…” and “Got any plans for the summer?”
What happened when they were expecting Pierce to walk back in at the end? Was it an envelope that dropped?
I think it was a ceiling tile. Just another little “Our school is trashed” gag.
Funny stuff. Great to see Abed go after the Han Solo character. That was pretty funny. “I am claiming Han Solo before Jeff gets it by default” paraphrased.
I liked the Star Wars opening crawl cut short.
Pretty much all of the Abed/Annie stuff was golden.
So, last year’s cliff hanger was the love triangle. And, this year it’s Pierce. Does Troy still live with him? Will that change?
It was a florescent light housing.
That was another great bit. The Star Wars crawl has been well used by now, so it was funny to see them acknowledge it and then say “screw it, let’s get to the show.”
I noticed the Son and the Ditzy Blonde Friend from Cougar Town were part of the cheering montage at the very end. Is there some kind of crossover between the two?
Wait, I remembr Abed talked about his appearance on Cougar Town in Community. Was he actually in an aired Cougar Town episode?
I meant to ask this last week. I think I forgot a reference from a previous episode. What was the statue that was being toppled over. It looked like Luis Guzman.
Ah never mind. I googled it before I posted to see if it was an easy answer. Googling tells me that it was him, and his going to Greendale and the statue was first mentioned in “Advanced Criminal Law” So much funny.
Ahh this all brings up the one small nit I had with these two episodes. Chang kicked ass at paintball last year. I wish they let him keep that kick ass attitude in at least the paint ball arena.
I don’t remember seeing him in any. But then I didn’t notice Travis and Laurie cheering there either, so…

I think it was even the same janitor from the episode where Troy discovers his gift for plumbing (which he got to use in this episode).

What I don’t get is if the only purpose of the City College people was to eliminate all the Greendale players, then why did the play fair and stop shooting when they got shot?
Because that’s against the rules.

Everyone takes it super seriously while they’re playing, but once they get shot, it’s off to Denny’s.
