Eh. I’d be more excited if:
-the last couple of seasons of Community had sucked less, and
-the extra season of Arrested Development on Netflix had sucked less, and
-I had ever heard of “Yahoo Screen” before
Well, Dan Harmon is with it, though there’s some foreboding in his tweet, “It’s been so long since I’ve seen the young maiden. My love is stronger than my fear of death.”
I had made peace with it not coming back but glad it got a reprieve. i really didn’t care for the finale we got.
Now they pretty much have to make a movie right?
I’m just puzzled by that tweet.
#sixseasonsandamoviemfers!
So what is Yahoo Screen? Is it a pay service? Anyone know? Also when will Community be back?
It’s from a song about a guy who gets the win and rides off into the sunset, but can’t help but come back for the object of his affection, though he knows he’ll be attacked.
here’s what I found with newfangled thing called “Google” that the kids are using today…
It looks like everything on it is free, but of course that doesn’t mean they might not set up a paywall in the future.
My biggest complaint is that I don’t know if there’s a good way to watch this stuff on my TV.
It’s too bad Chevy Chase couldn’t stick with the show. Yes, they played off his hatred of being ridiculed, but that’s what made him funny! His jealousy of Jeff felt genuine to me.
Troy’s departure took out the show’s heart. There’s no reason for it to continue. Community was a great show, but there’s no need to animate its corpse.
I hate to agree but the the last few shows of the 5th season were really disappointing. They need Troy and Pierce was a big loss. I will watch season 6 anyway, with hope.
Cool, cool, cool.
I love Yahoo right now. I don’t even care how badly they suck at search!
Same here. You said what I would’ve said so well, in fact, that I don’t have to say another word.
It’s a Marty Robbins song lyric.
…frustratingly the answer to the question isn’t there. I’m in New Zealand: and I click on the “Leftovers” video or a “SNL” video and I get the message: “This video is currently not available due to provider license restrictions.
Please check out one of these related videos:”
Some of the videos play for me. I look up “Burning Love”, one of Yahoo’s commissioned series, and I can only find preview clips. I try to sign into Yahoo to see if it makes a difference, but I signed up for Yahoo last century, and I can’t remember my password. I look for a page that outlines how Yahoo Screen works and I can’t find anything.
So it is no wonder so few people have heard of Yahoo Screen. And this article sums quite a bit of the problems up. I hope they make things clearer soon.
I’m still baffled by the hate I see for season 5. Losing Troy was a huge blow, but I think they did some great work in there. Especially the GI Joe episode, which I expected to hate but is easily in my top ten or so.
Season 5 was okay (hell I liked Season 4 for the most part); I just didn’t like the finale all that much.
That I believe. I actually liked it, but I would be the first to admit it was a bit out of character (and Chris Elliot is certainly an acquired taste).
I found season four unwatchable – until Harmon was rehired, I’d legitimately decided not to watch season five.
