Community's final two seasons are its best. Are my wife and I nuts?

Agreed, but I’d expand this. Glover and Pudi were the heart of the show. Troy and Abed and their interactions in particular really made the show what it was and it diminished when the pair were pulled apart.

So did you get to see the first D&D episode, or did you start watching after it was Memory Holed?

We’ve seen every episode except the last two, which we might watch tonight.

Another vote for Seasons 1-3. Dan Harmon tried to put the shattered pieces together after the disaster that was Season 4, but it never had the same magic or originality.

People wondered at the time how the show could last if each season was a full year of school. The answer was that it couldn’t. More and gaudier artificial schemes were needed, moving the center away from the workable original premise. Even without Season 4, I’m not sure anyone could have sustained it.

I believe it’s only Memory Holed on Netflix (in the US). You can watch the episode, Chang black-elf face and all, on Amazon Prime.

My wife and I finished the show the other day and really liked how it ended, assuming they never do reunite to make their TV movie.

Without a ton of thought and reflection, I’d rank the seasons like this:

  1. Season 6
  2. Season 5
  3. Season 2
  4. Season 1
  5. Season 3
  6. Season 4

Again, it blurs more together binging it, but that is my thought as of now.

I was not a huge fan of the show, though. I thought it was good, but not amazing. Sitcoms I liked better:

  1. Arrested Development(Seasons 1-3)
  2. Scrubs
  3. MASH
  4. Better Off Ted
  5. The Office(seasons 1-7)

I’m sure I can think of others I liked more as well. Community was much better than the generic crap out there, but not a top level show for me.

Seasons 5 and 6 were great with Frankie and Elroy, but the tone was different. If I had to choose peak Community, it would be seasons 2 and 3 but all seasons have their gems.

Elroy and frankie are only in season 6, I believe. Season 5 is Buzz, but they still have Shirley.

I think. I’m losing track and just watched it.
