computer cases with neon lights

I’ll throw in my support for the Chieftec Dragon. My current case is a purple DX-01. My computer’s pretty cluttered inside, so I didn’t go with the window, though the non-windowed version has a side fan as well. The thing is huge, so moving it can be kind of trying, but it’s painless to work in. Screwless drive bays and fan ports are the coolest thing since thumbscrews (which account for all of the external screws on the case).

As for LED lighting, my lighting is half form and half function. My case fans have purple LEDs and are each connected to a fan speed control panel in the top drive bay that has a separate knob for each fan connected to it. The knobs are transparent and each contain blue LEDs. As fan speed is increased or decreased, the brightness of the LEDs in the fan and its corresponding knob increases or decreases. Okay, so it’s probably more form than function, but it does allow me to reduce both sound and brightness levels when the computer’s not in use.

well I don’t know whether the power was provided by electricity or wind, but physically ripping the entire strip off of the fan, including the point where the LED board connects to the fan’s wiring via solder, did the trick. The fans still work, and no stupid blue lights!!
