Thanks for the ideas guys and I got my driver installed, but now I only have one color display setting, a 16 color setting, I don’t even have the black and white one anymore. I attribute this to maybe I downloaded the wrong driver, but I really doubt it. But maybe I did. But if anyone thinks they can find the driver I need I’ll give the info.
My OS is Windows '98 my graphics card model is VGA-RZXA-8SDJ B.O.M. Ver 2.3.2.1 and my computer’s make is a Pionex. So if you can find the driver I need let me know, of if you know why the driver I downladed isn’t working please let me know, also this is a long shot, but might it have to do something with the monitor as well? I am still stumped and simmering at a nice point just below boiling. Thanks again!!!
Go to www.driverguide.com and login using the username drivers and the password all. Do a “simple search” on VGA-RZXA-8SDJ. I got two hits on a driver for that board. The first one has an 81% positive rating from those who have used it. Good luck.
Your driver may be on this page from Pionex.
I used to have a Pionex PC that came with a cd that had all the drivers on it.
OK, I did a quick search and it looks like the file you want is under the heading “VGA-RZXA/xSDJ, VGA-RZXAM/xSDJ” on the page I linked to above.
Good luck!
I still think you should sacrifice a virgin…
i have no idea what kind of video card that is but for the short term rt click on “my computer” and select properties, go to device manager and select the video card from the list, select properties and then on the driver tab select “update driver”
select “specify a location” and on the following screen select “display a list…”,
see if your driver is listed there. If it is selcet it. If it isnt or you are not sure selct “standard vga” or if not listed click “show all hardware”,scroll to top (standard display types), and select standard pci or standard vga.
It seems that card is based on the Riva 128 chipset. You should be able to download Nvidia’s driver and it will work better than the drivers that came from your computer manufacturer. Download them at www.nvidia.com. Go to “DOWNLOAD DRIVERS” (at the top) and select “Grahics Drivers”, then “Riva 128”, then “All Operating Systems”.
