How about SUPER GENIUS COMPUTER GEEKS NEEDED!!?!?!?!

I really am getting angry now, I finally got the driver installed, the RIGHT driver installed for my graphics card and my color settings still won’t change, I am still stuck at the 16 color display!!! Some one PLEASE HELP ME!!! I am losing it. Again, my computer is a Pionex, OS is Windows 98, video card is VGA-RZXA-8SDJ and I know I installed the right driver for it, it actually let me install it but it won’t let me change color settings, really don’t know what to do anymore, and looking at 16 colors while online is getting really annoying, so any help is GREATLY appreciated!!! Check my earlier posts on this board if you need any other info, but I will be checking back Monday afternoon!

Keep it to one thread. Respect the board mores. If you can’t figure out how to post correctly to the SMDB, I weep for your odds of fixing your actual problem.

According to this page on the Pionex website, what they call a VGA-RZXA/xSDJ is actually a Joytech Riva 128 ZX AGP VGA card with 8MB SDRAM. That’s a pretty old card, with limited capabilities by today’s standards. It would probably be easier, quicker and cheaper in the long run to just replace it with a new one. Even the cheapest of today’s display adapters has more graphics horsepower than that old card, and would solve your driver headache quickly and cleanly.

However, if you are determined to make your current adapter work, I might suggest the User-to-User Forum at PCpitstop.com. The have a higher class of super genius computer geeks over there. Before you post your question, however, you should run the free PC Pitstop Online Tune-up & diagnostic, then post your test results on the forum. Someone there can probably spot the problem that has eluded us ordinary geeks at the SDMB.

Give it some more time… Can’t expect an answer within a day always. While you’re at it why not upgrade to an OS that’s not 6 years old?

yeagermeister, do NOT open multiple threads for the same problem. Post your updates and further questions relating to the same problem within your original thread. This thread is closed.

Posting multiple threads for the same problem is against the rules of this board. Please read the FAQ and the Registration Agreement carefully before you post further questions.

Thank you.
