Computer Question - URL's will not highlight and other issues

I’ve check the sticky on computer questions and I didn’t see this one asked/answered. I’ve gone to several other websites without much luck.

Here is the issue.

I have norton, spybot and ad-aware. For some reason whenever I scroll over a URL on a website (e.g. link

it no longer tells me what site the link is to. In addition, when I click to go to another page or another website I no longer get the egg timer unless I move the cursor to the toolbar and I no longer get the URL on the bottom of the page indicating that it is loading.

Any thoughts or suggestions would be appreciated.

I am using IE and Windows XP as my OS.

Not sure if this is what you’re describing, but try toggling View > Status Bar.
