Just a few minutes ago, my computer started trying to make ever image I tried to save ‘untitled.bmp’. I have been told that it’s the site, not the computer, but one of them was saving fine earlier today, so that seems off. What’s the deal?
Can you describe more clearly what you’re doing, and what OS do you have? If you are running Windows and saving picture files to your computer from a website by right-clicking and selecting “Save Picture As…,” then you should be able to name it whatever you want in the File Name box. Even if you can’t do that, you should be able to find the file using Window’s Explorer or through My Computer, single-click it, and type in a new name, or right-click, choose Rename and type the new name.
If none of that solves the problem, it’s possible you have a bug of some kind, though I’ve never heard of one like that.
well, I can go through the process of renaming it. I’m just trying to figure out what in the process of right clicking and ‘save as’ in IE is making everything untitled.bmp
does any name other than untitled.bmp show up in the file box when you right-click, save as?
I had something like this happen. Turns out my disk was getting full. Try to go into your Internet Options and clear your buffer. This worked for me.
Why? I don’t know. But it worked.
Nope, that’s all that shows. No other options for file type, no matter what the original was. it’s all very odd.
