Ah Ha! Seems like it’s some kinda “Punk’d” “T.V.'s Practical Jokes” “Candid Camera” kinda thing.

At the end of the show, they had a disclaimer screen that stayed up for about two seconds that said, among other things, that some portions of the show had been reenacted. Did anyone read the whole thing? It seems like the whole thing might just be a sham in itself.

What’s-his-face who stars in the show isn’t very funny, either.

It also said that some of the people were reimbursed for some services.

So what’s the point of the show, then?

“Won”

“Wrap”

I thought this show was a new low and easily the most mean spirited thing I’ve seen on TV since the elections ended. People are made to be laughing stocks because of their compassion… it reminded me of Sedaris’s tale of his quadriplegic (sp?) shoplifting mate and how they took advantage of the charitable and mocked them as rubes, then moved to a rough neighborhood in San Francisco and came to realize “what they were was nice…”.

Anyway, hated it.

I saw the first little bit of this. I was pretty surprised that they’d have a tv show devoted to fucking people over.

Ton.
Trap.

Not.

Prat.

Exactly. Spend 3 days of time, give money and food to a homeless guy, spend god-knows-what on fake credentials for a free haircut and manicure.

Put this show on the shelf, next to “Kid Notorious” and “Upright Citizens Brigade”. There are perfectly good episodes of “Wanderlust” and “TVFunhouse” we could be watching. Of course, we could be throwing darts and drinking beer, too.

Hey, I like UCB!

Yeah, I’ve never seen Kid Notorious, but I wouldn’t put that pile of shit Con in the same league as UCB.

Coooooooooooooonnnnnnnnn!!!

Somebody had to say it.

I saw the same notice at the end of the show. and You have to take home the idea that everyone who was seen, and not blurred had to say yes to it. I was curious as to what the show would be… and sadly this isnt it. … On how to get free Caffiene… that goes beyond con… to outright stealing. I mean a “Good” con is done inside existing laws. Loopholes and what not.

But Yes. CRAP.

Someone care to explain the concept for those who are less tv-inclined?
