I love Conan O’Brien. I think he’s awesome. He’s smart (he went to Ha-vid), very funny, and there’s something sexy about him. I think I find him sexy because he is smart and funny (and rich). Anybody else love him?
He is, and his show is wondefully creative. Hopefully he’ll be around a while. What the hell did happen to Dudes A Plenty, anyway?
BTW, welcome to the boards. Comments about TV go in the “Cafe Society” forum; this’ll most likely be moved there soon.
That’s from the forum description page.
(Not to pick on the newbie, just saving the mods another cut/paste job.)
For some reason I had a stray idea that dudes a plenty actually is O’Brien drumming up praise. Naahhh. Chalk that up to paranoia and cynicism.
Yeah, I think he’s funny. Still doing “In the year 2000,” but it’s still zingy. Most people can’t pull off the self-depreciation when a joke flops as consistantly as he does, but he keeps it just long enough in each instance to not be grating.
Fear his hair!
I love his Jesus statuettes, especially the Black Jack one.
I miss Andy though. Do you think Conan will make a guest appearance on his show?
I believe it’s spelled “dudez aplenti”
I love Triumph. There was a thread here about how hilarious his visiting the Star Wars fans and just ragging on them was. Because I stay up so late I watch it a lot, and I think he could have eclipsed Letterman in terms of funniness, having surpassed Leno as soon as his show came on the air.
I completely agree!
jjtm, thanks for the advice, that this should be in cafe society. I was going to put it there first, then I thought it was too low-brow. I didn’t know if cafe society was all fancy kind of stuff.
Triumph is the best! The Star Wars thing was hilarious.
I also love when he does that via satellite interview thing with the screen behind him. That’s always funny as hell.
oh, I forgot Preparation H Raymond!!!
