My refrigerator has a great deal of condensation dripping from the ceiling down to the lower shelves. I’ve dried reducing the temperature in the refrigerator but it didn’t work. What else can I do?
I had one that did something like this a while back. Lots of water pooling on the bottom. Then, gradually the fridge stopped getting cold even though the freezer was fine. Turned out there was some sort of blockage keeping the cold air from reaching the fridge. The apartment maintenance guy came in to fix it a couple times, but it kept coming back. It seems that particular model/year of that refrigerator had a design flaw. They ended up getting me a new fridge.
It’s not a Hotpoint is it?
several things can be wrong. Just one can be a door gasket that does not seal well. Humid outside air keeps getting in and causing condensation. If it happens more on humid days and much less or nothing in winter, dry days, this is the most probable cause
Also check the temperature in the refrig & ice box to see how it is & what it should be. The water
should drain on the floor of the frig to a pan that is under the frig & make sure that hole isn’t clogged.
