Why is there water in my refrigerator?

I have little pools of water in my refrigerator. Its quite annoying. What causes this and is there an easy way to fix it shy of making my apt. complex get me a new 'fridge? As always, thanks in advance.

do you have a fridge/freezer combo with the freezer on top? if so, i would imagine your freezer isn’t cold enough.

Yes I do. I will try that(although i like my ice cream squishy). Thanks.

Check the seal on your door. We had a very small gap down by the bottom that was allowing warm summer air in (and expensive electricity out). The air was slowly bringing in lots of moisture into the 'fridge which condensed, dripped down the walls and into the bottom tray. We adjusted the door (bent it and fiddle with the hinges) so the gap was sealed, and it solved our problem.

Also check the drain holes in the roof of the 'fridge. (We looked in there while searching for the problem). If they are plugged, normal condensation won’t be able to leave and will collect.

Good luck. I know all to well the frustration. Hope this helped, or someone else has the ‘right’ suggestion.

I have the same type of problem and, in my case, while I still haven’t bothered to fix it (and am not quite sure how, actually), I’m sure there’s some leak from the freezer that allows water to escape as it goes through the defrost cycle.

At the bottom of the fridge, there is a hole that water drains, then it drains into a pan under the fridge & is supposed to evaporate. My guess is the pan is full or that hole is clogged or as the user suggested your temp is set too low, which is dangerous even if you like squishy ice cream.
