I just think that it’s really unfair that professional women, especially, get criticized for lack of physical attractiveness, and that that’s used as a slam against them. It’s being done now in this thread with Condi, it was done against Janet Reno, it was done against Hillary Clinton. I just think that it’s unfair. There’s a lot to criticize her about, if you’re so inclined, from her part in the Iraq weapons thing to whether her not her Cold War education and mentality are appropriate in a post-Cold War world. But criticizing her because she has a gap between her teeth is just mean.
yeeeesh!
It’s the left-wing counterparts to Chevy57SS, John John, and Sentinel out to make nasty comments about the appearances of certain women.
I think you all need to link to your own photos so we can see how beautiful you look.
I’d gladly, without hesitation, pit my looks against Condi’s any day of the week. I think though that people should lighten up, we’re just poking some fun at her.
She looks like Olive Oyl.
I saw Garcelle Beauvais on a rerun this morning and thought, “If Condi Rice were pretty, she’d look like Garcelle Beauvais.” I don’t know exactly what the connection is between the two, but there was something there.
She isn’t so horribly ugly, it’s just that she bears an uncanny resemblance to Chucky from the Child’s Play movies. Look and tell me I’m wrong.
I’m sure I started a thread on Condi’s hair a couple nof years ago.
But what struck me today watching her is her subtle scowl which slowly but deliberately dissolves into a smile and back. most people change expressions much more quickly.
And while she undergoes that careful change of mood, her eyes never waiver.
She’s 100% on duty.
Is there a name for that hairstyle? It got a definite 60s-ish look about it. Not 60-yrs-old, 1960s.
Neil Steinberg in today’s Chicago Sun-Times called it a Lucy van Pelt hairstyle.
As much as I hate Condi and Bushco, this OP is stupid.
Condi’s looks have gotten considerable pittage. This separated at birth link (cadged from another thread) pretty much sums them up.
I think Condi’s cute, as well. But she would be much more cute if she were to adopt a more pleasing hairstyle and a more relaxed, less intense expression (read scowl), IMHO.
I think she’s plain to pretty. The hair and gap don’t help but that scowl is her undoing.
I think Lucy Van Pelt hits it perfectly.
For a republican I don’t find her all that unattractive.
Michael Winner. Now there’s a person who should never be seen by human eyes. That mobile turd repulses me.
Right, cause people never make fun of famous males and how they look. But Bush and Kerry were made fun of because of the way they look. This is no different.
If it is so stupid then why did you bother to respond.
I think there are better reasons to be critical of Rice than her physical attractiveness. Look at Mt. Rushmore. Are any of those guys Brad Pitt?
I don’t care for Ms. Rice. I think she’s too much of a water carrier for Bush and I’d rather not see her become SoS but I don’t think her looks need to be brought into it. I didn’t like it when ugly jokes were made about Madeline Albright or Janet Reno and I don’t like it when it’s done to Condie Rice. I do think there’s an undercurrent of sexism in the way this standard gets applied to women but not to men (I’m not accusing the OP of having a sexist motive for this thread, I’m just speaking in general terms about this kind of double standard).
But if we are going to talk about ugly we have to talk about Newt “the Newt” Gingrich.
Lucy Van Pelt is it!
I have watched Condi over the past months, and I have to say that while she smiles and frowns and looks “concernec”–her eyes are dead. They do not light up with her smile, nor do they darken with her scowl (which is quite cartoonish).
Methinks it’s all an act. Maybe she’s a Fembot?
Hey, fucko, did you not notice my first sentence, which was my meaningful contribution to the discussion?
If by meaningful you mean worthless. If think then tthread is stupid, then you can get out, ok asshole?
So worthless that two people used the information I provided in their replies. Yep, worthless indeed.
Well, it took nearly 3,500 posts to be finally called an asshole, and I am deeply honored.
See you in another thread.
