Oh, I know where the name came from, but my first thought was a roll I had at a local sushi place not long ago! I can’t look at my cat and think of sushi!
She’s curled up next to me on the couch here purring. Every time I speak to her she comes over and demands attention. If she is willing to sleep at night, or at least let me sleep, I think I’ve got a winner here.
I’ve decided that Tygrrl would be a good nickname for you.
BBBobbio those were funny. I declare this…
to be the ultimate example of heapin’ guilt. Toooooo Funny!
I got fed dindin tonight and got to visit JoeDawg. JoeDawg’s daddy and partner had us over to eat dindin. Meatloaf, mac & cheese, crowder peas, cornbread and peach cobbler. NUM! I’s a stuffded bear! JoeDawg was muchly happy to see his nanny but extremely unpleased that I quit lovin’ long enough to eat. A spry 14 year old that one!
Also, I enrolled in the health insurance program tonight. Took all of five minutes online. Now I can go out and hurt myself.
I took a melatonin just before gettin’ on tonight. It’s startin’ to take effect. Time for beddy bye.
Please no. I’m not a ‘Grrl’ - half the time I barely qualify as a girl (female, not ladylike) =^.^= S’kitty*, S’kat*, S’tyger, STG, Silver, and Tyger are all fine.
Hi all. I am off work this morning. HRH has a doctor’s appointment at 11am, so it wasn’t worth me going to work for an hour then coming back to get her, then driving back in the same direction to the doctor. Poor little HRH … The housemaid likes to rub the baby powder into HRH’s bottom when she changes her nappy/diaper, and now the poor little tike has baby powder stuck inside her clitoral hood, causing some nasty inflammation and serious tenderness/hypersensitivity. Every time I’ve tried to swab the area, HRH just clamps her knees together. Sigh …
snowbunny, your kitty is very cute!
Smartie, Bear looks like a darling dog, and he will hopefully be a good friend for himself!
Happy Birthday Tyger!
Definitely no snow here - forecast for today is clear, sunny skies with a high of 78°F/26°C
Okay, off to do some work from home stuff, and keep praying that hubby and his friend are driving safely and reach Riyadh soon (they left at 3:30 this morning).
Morning Mumpers! Belated happies, Tyger - hope you had a good day.
I did my animal-feeding duties last night and got to play with three very frolicky ferrets and a fat ginger cat. Then I went to Fat Club and found out I’d gained half a pound. That must have been the slice of birthday cake I had yesterday, so I went home and sulked with a couple of glasses of wine and some ice cream. Oh wel,l I still have the rest of the week to lose it again and since 'im indoors is away from Thursday until Monday, I can plan whatever menus I like.
In other news, I heard today that a colleague’s father died following a heart attack yesterday. It’s very sad because her mother had been in and out of hospital a bit recently following a fall down the stairs and everyone was more worried about her than him, then apparently yesterday he had a heart attack and that was the end of it. It will be tough for them because her mother is getting to the stage where she needs more care than the family can provide even though they’re always calling in and do as much as they can for her. She is in the early stages of dementia though, so things aren’t looking too good for her at the moment.
Nothing much happening here today, I am off to laminate things and play with the copier and a bunch of acetates. Beerverages tonight though!
That’s the Feast of St Francis Xavier, which used to be a holiday in Navarra under the name “Feast of St Francis Xavier” but is now a holiday in Navarra under the name “Day of Navarra,” because we’re supposed to be secular or something. It is also known as “Day when Navarrese go to their neighboring provinces or over the border to France and SHOP.” Spain believes in separation of church and state, so long as it doesn’t mean losing holidays.
