Confirmation of song title/artist

I think the artist is “After the Fall,” and they had a hit about 10 years ago called “The Promise” or “I Promise.” If anyone can confirm this, thanks. (I know it is NOT “After the Fire,” who recorded “Der Kommissar.”)

The Promise was recorded in the 80’s by When In Rome (I have it on CD and MP3)

That’s it! That’s it! Thanks.

If I can’t find it anywhere, wanna sell???

Actually it’s on a lot of 80’s compilation CD’s

I also found the CD at Amazon for 12 buckshttp://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/B000000WGM/o/qid=938463908/sr=8-2/002-7026904-5592630

Speaking of song titles/artists, anyone know who sings the song “If I could fly” about a man who’s obsessed with a 16 year old?

“If I could fly/I’d pick you up/I’d take you into the night/and show you a love/like you’ve never seen.”

“Into the Night” by Benny Mardones (sp?).

Isn’t “Der Kommissar” by Falco ? Or was he in that band ?

Yes, by Falco. Was he Austrian?

Austrian indeed. Major other hits: Rock me Amadeus and Jeanny (creepy & beautiful song !). He was killed in a car accident in the Dominican Republic last year.

Falco did the original.

After the Fire did a remake a year or so later.

There was also some gal that did a version a year or so after that. I know that only because a local radio station sometimes played a mix of the three.
