That’s not a personal shotl - that’s pointing out a discrepancy. The “moderator ass-kissing” part is definitely a personal shot, but it’s obscuring an actual point. Your comment was uncalled for and snotty.

This reminds me of high school when something big would happen and we would hear something like this immediately followed by a school-wide assembly for “The Great Announcement” that (for example) rock-group t-shirts were now on the forbidden clothing list (conservative Christian school - shudder) and Timmy wouldn’t joining us anymore.

Hey, Arnold, No Fair! You can’t come out of the smoke-filled room and get away with a comment like that. At the very least, you have to make an official statement that the talks are “constructive” and that “the parties are engaging in a frank exchange of views.”

He really never reveals anything, and he answers every question, no matter what it is, with “As I’ve already stated…” and follows with whatever his pre-Q&A statement was. Plus, he stays calm the whole time. He’s a delightful mix of Allen Covert in Little Nicky and Josh Malina in Sports Night.
You’re right, Arnold. But I just hoped that someone might get some hint as to how it feels to those of us who believe that Jesus Christ is our Savior and Lord to see metaphors about hoisting Him up on a stick. Apparently, you felt it just a bit, at least. Empathy is a first step.

This site is under no obligation to be kid-friendly. As has already been stated, the columns alone fall into the R-rated category. I don’t want to see subjects suppressed because they’re not suitable for Nickelodeon, on the off chance that a seventh-grader might find hir way in here. AFAIK, we don’t get many visitors that age, and I see no reason to cater to them.
