How the** FUCK** is Gorsuch an accomplishment?
He only needed 50 votes and Repubs have 54.
When you needed 60, what percentage ever got shot down?
Jesus.

Obama added 2 million jobs during 2016.
JOBS JOBS JOBS is a solution in search of a problem.
Jobs and Jobs; what is Jobs!?
There are many problems for which jobs are a solution.
He didn’t want to be overridden. What I don’t understand is why he didn’t just let it become law without his signature. Hasn’t anybody in the white house read the constitution?
It’s a fair point. I suspect there are two answers:

[li]There’s not much else that Trump fans can point to, so it HAS to be a Momentous Achievement. Otherwise, they’ve got nothing.[/li][li]Trump COULD have screwed it up royally, by ignoring what those around him (the RNC, the Heritage Foundation, etc.) advised, and choosing someone completely unsuitable, such as Gary Busey. So in accordance with the Low Expectations Bar associated with Trump, choosing a respectable mainstream candidate wins Trump points.[/li][/ol]
It’s an accomplishment on the scale of paying for groceries or taking a piss.
Read it? Hell, I’m half expecting one of those fourth rate minds to introduce it in the next batch of MAGA Executive Orders.
Trump’s never done the former and has a lot of trouble with the latter.
Are you kidding? It’s more than 140 characters and even worse, doesn’t mention Trump anywhere.
Probably so that he could hold his little signing ceremony, show the teacher his work, and say “See? I was tough on Russia.”
While I think Trump is a disaster both presidentially and personally, in the interest of fairness what had Obama and Bush43 accomplished in their first half-years so we have a standard for comparison?
So much for Repealing the Job-Killing Health Care Act, and other nonsense prophecies about the ACA.
Obama won the Nobel Peace Prize (I thought that was over the top, btw, before he’d actually done anything, but he did try to live up to it). Any bets on Trump matching that?
Obama bombed like seven different countries (ETA: and it’s entirely possible I’ve forgotten one or two). In what way(s) did he “try to live up to it” in your mind?
All seven of which were based on targeting terrorists, but thank you for playing. Funny how you support it except when it’s a Democrat doing the firing.
Technically speaking, Bush targeted a genocidal dictator and a number of terrorists. In both cases, we’re effectively talking policing missions.
I always support bombing terrorists, including when Obama did it. I just wouldn’t call it ‘[trying] to live up to’ [the Nobel Peace Prize]. If it is, where the hell is GWB’s Nobel Peace Prize?
And my question was a serious one that I’d appreciate if you would answer: In what way(s) did he “try to live up to it” in your mind?
Despite every justification and plenty of opportunities, he resisted the temptation of punching Trump in the face. I think that level of restraint alone deserves at least a NPP nomination.
