Controversial encounters between law-enforcement and civilians - the omnibus thread #2

In Kent? Not likely.

You gotta go down the road to Bonney Lake to find the Nazis.

Well, I get the impression there are slightly more White-Wingers in Enumclaw than Bonney Lake. All the hippies live in between, in Buckley.

On the other hand, this guy’s parents own the drive-in in Buckley, so…

And they disowned him. Not literally disowned the person but firmly rejected his bugfuckery.

7 asshole cops suffocate a man in cuffs, then have the balls to try to ‘revive’ him.

I have 2 words for you. Positional asphyxiation. Hint: People who are suffocating tend to struggle.

If you were to handcuff me and lay me face down, I would suffocate, even without 7 assholes on top of me.

Bettencourt said it appeared the (Uvalde) shooter was able to gain access through one of the unlocked classroom doors. The door was left untested afterwards by police.”

nothing seems to be helping their image

They’re banning parents and journalists from City Hall.

And they evidently had officers armed with rifles and at least one ballistic shield standing around in the school corridors for an hour.

It looks like Lousyana is a place to not go,

It is not clear why the police felt compelled to issue the citation, other than they claimed to have received complaints. KSA, here we come.

She was not wearing a Burka. Pretty straightforward.

She should go to court dressed like this:

Ran across a CBC story about a kerfuffle in NS which left a bunch of folks done dancing (there may have been guns from US involved) and the Mounties messed up on the reporting (I submit that it is police that are the problem, not US police).

But it got me to wondering. The incident took place over about 13 hours, from about 10pm to 11am. across several locations. What exactly is the delineation between a mass murderer and a serial murderer?

Sounds like what the FBI would classify as a spree killing.

Mass murderers kill a bunch of people in one place. The Las Vegas shooting in 2017 would qualify.

Serial killers kill people (often just one) in one location. Then they later kill someone else in another location. And so on. Three kills seems to be the criteria. Between kills, they resume their normal lives, sometimes for months, years, or even a decade (like BTK did).

Spree killers operate like serial killers, except that there is no cooling-down period. They go from place to place fairly quickly, and they may kill more people in each individual attack. The Beltway shooters would qualify.

There’s a video floating around of two cops from Jericho, Texas racially profiling a black man for parking in a handicapped spot. The black guy pointed out to the two cops that his license plate had a disabled veteran tag on it. The black guy also let them know that he is a cop as well, and he knew all the jargon. They kept asking for his ID, which he refused to provide, saying they could look up the plate and see that he had a right to park there. I don’t know the result of the video, but it made the two white cops look bad.
One of the cops was the Jericho police chief. After a meeting with the mayor today, he has resigned.
I would like to know how a disabled veteran qualifies to be a cop, but that’s a different question.

Could be a jailer or something like that. We had a former police officer who had suffered several heart attacks continue serving as court security.

I’ve seen a video of a cop running down a suspect, tackling, and cuffing him. The cop had one real leg and one prosthetic leg.

25 year old Nevada black man arrested for a warrant for a 49 year old white man.

We can totally depend on the police to be even handed at these protests.

Cop in Columbus, OH tries to shoot a dog, winds up shooting himself in the leg instead.

Note the masterful use of passive voice in the article.

“Columbus officer shot in leg in Hilltop area”

What part of the leg is the Hilltop?

Maybe the dog was carrying and fired back in self-defense?
