Sounds like it went on for a a bit longer than what you saw in the above video. He did, apparently, actually hit the guy at some point and eventually crashed in an alley.
The number-one job of a driver is to not run into things. Using a motor vehicle as a weapon is flat out wrong.
After police tase this guy (you can see him fall), one of the cops doesn’t put his car in park when he gets out of it. It runs the suspect over. Then he gets back in the car, runs over the guy a second time (also hitting two cops), then he finally reverses off the suspect…and honks at him. Seems like this guy shouldn’t have a license, much less a badge and gun.
Nice of the cops to keep yelling at him to lay down, like he’s going to get up an run away after having a police cruiser on top of his legs.
A Bugs Bunny cartoon does not a training video make.
Fortunately, it appears that Baltimore has a Citizen Review Board that investigates these types of things. So it looks like we may actually see a resolution other than “we investigated ourselves and determined we did nothing wrong.”
And by the way, that is as clear a case of attempted vehicular homicide as any I’ve ever seen.
If that’s what it actually ends up being, he needs to be charged three times. Once for the suspect and once for each of the two officers he also hit.
Nice! Hopefully, it sticks.
A Texas State Trooper, for reasons known only to him, saw fit to walk against traffic into the tunnel from which football teams emerge, hard-shoulder two players, and then proceed to chew them out for having the audacity to be in his way. Sounds like he tore a page straight out of the Jim Crow-Era Cop’s Playbook and start shit with a Black dude, and then blame the Black dude for being in the way of his attack.
He’s been “relieved of his game-duties post,” but it doesn’t seem like he’s going to face any other punishment. Still, I imagine that loss of overtime is going to sting a bit.
That one’s been getting discussed in the Stupid MFers thread. But I don’t think there was any mention of what was said. I thought he was just being an asshole, I didn’t know there was racism involved in the interaction as well.
It’s not mentioned in the video you linked, but the kid he pushed into had just scored a touchdown against Texas A&M, so clearly he had to be put in his place.
As I mentioned in one of the other threads, he had just scored on an 80-yard pass and was noticeably limping as he crossed the goal line. He continued up into the tunnel, followed by 3 teammates. As they were returning to the field, the cop decided it was time to create a disturbance.
ICE agent in Minnesota arrested for trying to solicit sex from a minor online.
It’s Texas A&M. The racism should be expected.
