If you people don’t know where Charleston is, your US history and geography teachers have failed. Seriously. It was one of the most important cities on the East Coast back in the day. Its importance has faded somewhat, but there’s a boatload of US history bound up in the history of that city.

I think Dopers are dumber than they think they are. Just because the dumber contingent of USians can’t find places on a map doesn’t mean that a forum that prides itself on erudition gets a waiver on that.
