Converting a WordPro document

I’m doing a small design job for a client, redesigning their labels. They have a piece of art they want to use, but it’s saved as a Corel WordPerfect document. My (Mac) version of GraphicConverter can’t crack it at home, and I can’t install a trial version of any Corel product here at work. Anyone have any tips on how to convert this file type to a TIFF or PICT format?

Hope no-one minds that I’m bumping this, 'coz I’m still flummoxed by this issue. Any Corel users out there, maybe?

MacLink Plus can do it. I just converted a JPEG to .WPG, i.e., WordPerfect Graphic format, and back again.

The PC equiv is Conversions Plus.

If you don’t have access to either one, you can email them to me and I’ll convert them and return them to you as TIFFs.

Of course, you’d be better off getting the damfool customer to do a “Save As” and save the blasted thing in a standard format to begin with.

Or does the customer lack Corel Suite also, and just has the file?

OK, I just shot it your way. I have an old version of Word for Mac; MacLink Plus managed to convert it, but the colors were way way off, and there were loads of artifacts. One thing that might be confusing the issue is that it’s saved as a document, rather than a graphic. Also, I’ve been getting a “corrupted file” message, even though I pulled it straight from it’s CD-ROM.
Many thanks!

Exactly. They were created by a 3rd party a few years back.
