It’s wonderful that the UN has finally come up with the glaringly obvious solution to poverty: give money to poor people.

Gods, what a fantastic thread. Lawyers selling their cars and random clients mortgaging their parents houses to come up with the “USA Customs Non-Inspection Fee”.
The IRS was going to have a local police officer arrest me for non-payment of taxes. Luckily, I was able to pay them in iTunes gift cards – phew, close call!
A good thing that the IRS employees like music so much.
I got an email from a scammer who said that they were a domain registrar in China, and a domain name very similar to mine was being requested there. They wanted to know if I was associated with the requester. I’d gotten emails like this before, so I decided to play along. I said no, and asked them what they recommended I do. They wrote back and offered me a “deal” to buy the domain names myself, for some absurdly high price. I continued to play along for several exchanges. Then apparently they looked up my phone number in my real DNS record and called my home at 5am. That was the last time I played that game.
