Not only has Sweden done the best of all nations in ensuring a decent standard of living for its working classes, the country is remarkably clean, well-run, orderly and efficient. (I visited Stockholm for two weeks last September.) If all the peoples of the world were to adopt the Swedish mindset and values, the planet would be a much better place.

Someday I hope spaceflight will be cheep enough that I will be able to see the earth from orbit without needing to be a millionaire.

The future is here, with satellite views on Internet. Just like looking out a porthole from geocentric low earth orbit, I would guess. I know they’re not real-time views, but on the other hand, you can zoom, pan, speed up, go anywhere instantaneously, and are at little risk from encounters with Near Earth objects. It satisfies the spirit of your OP also, in being a thing absolutely unavailable until very recently, and now commodity-priced (free, really) to be enjoyed by everyone. Thank you, scientists and engineers!

Things I’d like to see:

A cure for dental caries! And tooth regeneration, too, please.
A cure for involuntary baldness.
A youthening treatment: reset your body to age 25.
A way to teach body language.
A cure for myopia that would leave me the option of the extreme close-up vision I do enjoy (extra-adjustable lenses?).
A retina and eye robust enough to be unharmed by the UV sensitivity we allegedly have, combined with a lens system that will transmit it. I want to be able to see more colours!
