Coolest one-word film dialogue

To finally stretch this thread any more than it should - not only with “looks”, here, but also into tv land: my favourite look that still spooks the crap outa me is in Arrested Development when AnnYong does something like speaking out of turn (or some similar transgression), prompting the great Jessica Walter to turret her head at the poor sap and manoman that look, as she sloooooooooooly turns back toward Gob while still looking askance at Annyong - whoa the planet could stop revolving with that look. Freaky awesome.
@ :22 for extreme, mortifying, Play Misty For Me-level terror

Speaking of A.D…“Her?”

Technical nitpick: A “dialog” is defined as a conversation involving two or more people. How can there be a one-word dialog, unless both participants say the same word in unison?

That actually crossed my mind as I was trying think of the title, as well as “utterance” or “saying”, but I probably should have gone with “line”, I guess.

In hindsight - would’ve been nice if I’d mentioned “looks” in the OP. ::shrug::

“Cartridge.”

Another great look is in “It’s A Wonderful Life”, when Jimmy Stewart runs out into the yard and suddenly realizes that he’s not dreaming the whole thing. He does a slow pan with a horrified look of realization on his face that is a wonder to behold.

It’s gonna be “looks” now?

I liked the looks on the sopranos. The whole series. And most of the words, single or multiple.

Madness

-The Bridge on the River Kwai. (Ok, he says it twice.)

It would be helpful to give the name of the film.

Nope. Too many “ands” and shit.

My guess it’s a film/cartridge play on words.

“ok” - Damon just before he’s offed in The Departed

“Go!” - Faster Pussycat, Kill, Kill

I thought guessing would be part of the fun. It’s from The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly. The whole scene is great. And I just saw Eli Wallach in an episode of Law & Order that was oddly similar.

Does anybody need help with “Scouts?”

Badges?

“CINEMAAAAA-A-A!” - Man Bites Dog

That one’s up there.

Since we’re into looks now, we were watching *A Christmas Story *last night and just before it happened I pointed out how much I liked the deliveryman’s reaction when Dad asks for the second time what’s in the box. Everyone fell out of their chairs even though this must be our twentieth viewing.

Only if you happen to have seen the movie and remember all the dialog.

I have no idea.

“Kennedy” (repeated several times).

A Boy and His Dog

Is that the scene where Tuco asks Blondie “What color are their uniforms?” :dubious:

“FAT!” (also repeated several times).

Gene Wilder in The Producers

“Screw?”

Gene Wilder in Blazing Saddles

“Roadtrip” -Animal House

Not movie, but Maynard G. Krebs’s “WORK!” is a classic.

“Excellent!” and “Waterloo!”

Bill and Ted’s Excellent Adventure
