I just saw this elsewhere. Cute picture. Kinda weird family. The kids are homeschooled and they make them stand around with “free hugs” signs. Kid starts crying and he’s made to stay there crying. Cop hugs him. Good cop, weird parents.
Yeah, parents seem like fucking hippies. Still, cop seems like a good guy and the kid will probably remember it for the rest of his life. And no one got shot in the process.
Yeah, it’s heartwarming that a single act by a kind, gentle cop can have a lasting, life-long effect on a kid.
From this description of the kid, it seems possible this event won’t be remembered in particular, being just one in a string of similar events.
Jesus. That’s some story. Although I do question how much of the sign-holding is driven by his parents (especially if he’s crying), he seems like a remarkably empathetic boy.
