In a dark parking lot frequented by pot smokers and underage drinkers, an Omaha police officer spotted the flash of a lighter through his night vision goggles.
The officer, Aarion Nielsen, and his partner, Officer John Dlouhy, trained their cruiser’s spotlight on a silver Hyundai Accent. Inside were three 17-year-old girls. Nielsen estimated the cruiser was 80 to 100 feet away.

When you [del]sneak up on[/del] approach someone, & startle them, & they may not be able to see your uniform because it’s dark & you’re partner is simultaneously blinding them with a bright light, & they then stomp the gas in fear & hit you, you’re a freaking Darwin candidate.
He chose his angle of approach. If he approached the car at a 90° angle, he won’t get hit if she panics & peels out as a normal person trying to get away isn’t going to do donuts. However, if he approached the car at a, say,10° angle, he stands a real chance of doing his best impersonation of Rolls Royce’s Winged Victory.

I’m always respectful toward cops. And they are generally nice to me, as well. But they still, politely, invade my privacy and trample upon my rights. But, yea; I have gutted a few, verbally, and they took it well. But I was still jailed. Many members seem never to have had an unpleasant experience with law enforcement. Yea, you do need some “evidence”. I don’t offer that; only the advice that you can find lots if you look. I don’t do homework for others. I merely suggest which areas of inquiry to examine. For example: are police-powers in America out of fucking control ? I leave it to others to answer that question. I have my opinion and have named some of the reasoning I use. Many members have ignored that issue and chosen, instead, to attack me, not my reasoning on that question. I thought most of the members were smarter than that.
