Do not accept statements by the OP without corroboration. There were not 30 responding officers, unless perhaps well after the shooting was over. According to all published accounts of the incident there were three officers at the restaurant at the time of the shooting. The police have not yet disclosed how many rounds were fired by the three officers.
The victim as noted was an audio technician. He was behind the officers when they entered, but the suspect fled toward the door so the technician was in the line of fire.

You opened the thread with no specific position on the incident beyond a general condemnation of police behavior, then ended with a taunt or a dare for others to tell you how off-base you are.
When you were asked for an actual thesis to discuss, you dismissed it with a snide remark that the incident was on the news and a snide question as to whether the thread should be in the comics.
That demonstrates both hostility and a lack of desire to debate in good faith.
Actually, had you posted combined information from posts #1 and #25 as the OP, it would probably still be in Great Debates, but since you think that snide remarks make better discussion points, the thread was moved to The BBQ Pit.
Personally I’m in favor of both police brutality and racial inequities. How else can I, as a white male 35-55, tell I’m winning?
As an aside, while I’m in favor of the above, I’m firmly opposed to recreational outrage, especially ignorant, jargon-y recreational outrage.

Just wanted to add some information.
Airsport guns are powered three ways:
Spring powered
Electric powered
Gas powered
The gas powered guns generally do recoil and make noise. Not as much noise as a 9mm pistol of course, but noise just the same. Electric powered guns also make a “clacking” noise and may or may not recoil depending on design.
When I say recoil I’m using that word to mean that the slide on a model looking like an auto loading pistol moves back and forth just like on a real firearm.

So in this case it couldn’t possibly be that reality shows have gotten more and more dangerous (by design) for those involved with them, and that this was inevitable? Get a better angle, be more aggressive while you’re riding, hey you’ve got a vest on, right? It’s about ratings and I’m sure the producers can’t wait for the next numbers to come out.
