"Cops" show comes to Omaha; 1 dead

You can, but haven’t so far. Your “stones” are indeed in question. That’s part of my anger; that so many educated people can be so blind. Civics used to be taught in public schools. Bet you didn’t know that. I’m not anonymous; all of you are.

Obviously, if there’s any racial diversity in any police contact, it must be racially motivated. Is that your point? Never mind the police were responding to an actual robbery, and the buttwipe doing the robbery appeared to be armed. Never mind that he fired his “*gun” *at them.

*Dion and a cameraman were traveling with police officers who responded to a robbery inside a Wendy’s restaurant on Tuesday night. Schmaderer said the suspect, Washington, fired two shots at the responding officers, who responded with a barrage of gunfire.
*

If those facts are correct, it’s absolutely, 100% justifiable homicide. No racial issue involved. Case closed.

This again? You still haven’t done anything banworthy. If you’re going to try to be a martyr, do something interesting - or at least take off the “I wanna be a martyr” t-shirt. It’s not rebellious, it’s just sad.

Which ? I’ve been doing so for over six decades. I’ve marched in anti-war demonstrations and civil rights marches. You probably saw these on tv from your lazy-boy in suburbia.

Translation: “Damn the facts” is your other position. The first, of course, is “Damn the cops”. What that amounts to is a simple calculus: You’re admitting to being a troll.

Wow, good memory. You made me laugh. I’m not a martyr and i’m not a crusader, either. I’m a concerned citizen, that’s all. ,.

Translation: “Got nothing to support the assertion.”

you misspelled “confused”.

When I worked as a crime reporter I was in a few hairy situations. The most memorable was the night I managed to get between a barricaded subject and the SWAT team moving into position. Thankfully no one on either side saw me before I got the hell out of there (radio stations don’t issue reporters bullet-proof vests, not that that would likely have helped much in the event of crossfire).

“COPS” crews often put themselves in potentially dangerous situations to get exciting footage. No idea from what I’ve heard so far if the sound guy didn’t follow police or show protocol, or if the officer who fired the fatal shot didn’t act properly, or exactly what happened. Getting on a soapbox now to denounce police behavior strikes me as dumb.

I am doing no such thing. This is a serious matter. These are serious questions and statements, on my part. Again, i’m not looking for inclusion. The academic myopia here is STAGGERING ! I gave some inaccurate early information. This event happened less than 24 hours ago. The sound tech was killed, not a cameraman, as was stated earlier by local news. Details are important, I know, but early reports are often inexact. Please try doing what I’m constantly asked to do; consider the whole picture as best you can. I don’t like being called a troll. Do you like being called an educated idiot ? Well, I didn’t call you one. I’m still forming an opinion. Maybe some of you should give me the same courtesy.

Oh, let me try again; Morgenstern. Jewish ? I like Jews. Well, not all of them.

I’m not sure you know what “anonymous” or “academic” means.

Please don’t translate my words. I’m using the ones I chose. I got plenty of supporting arguements and facts and figures. I’m just gettin’ warmed up. Al Pacino, “Scent of a Woman”. If I was half the man I used to be I’d TAKE A FLAME-THROWER TO THIS PLACE ! And I spelled argument wrong on purpose to give some a chance to get-in a shot. So, blank-off !

LOL, it’s German you loin muppet

So you resist tyranny but you can’t even use proper profanity?

Ask Webster. I think you’re the confused one. Do you acedemics think everyone else is stupid ? I’ll answer 1st; Yes, you do. Admit it, if you have the “stones”. That’s what your type calls courage. And you guys don’t really know what that is, do ya’ ?

Oh, you guys threw them in ovens. My bad. BTW, the Catholic Church never excommunicated a single Catholic Nazi; not even Hitler. The shame of that is one of the reasons I stopped calling myself Catholic in 1967 at age 14. Schprecken zee Zietgeist ?

proper profanity. time to go home

Rebelliousness and know-it-allism can be kind of cute in a teenager. Tolerable, anyway. Expected. Part of growing up. Gets a lot less cute with age, and a whole lot more sad.

The first word was a joke. The second one was, apparently, also a joke. Good nite gentlemen and vicious ladies.
