Let me relate another un-cited tale about Omaha police: About 4 yrs. ago, a car parked in an outlying area of town near a lake at about 8:00 p.m., in winter (so, it was dark outside), was observed, by police, to contain a person or persons unknown who were flicking a cigarette lighter.
The police cruiser with it’s two officers rolled-up behind this vehicle with it’s headlights off, then turned-on the spotlight and began approaching the car. The driver, not knowing who in hell was behind the car, sped-off. Those two officers, and two others in a nearby cruiser, then opened fire at the “suspects”, discharging 27 shots in the direction of that car and hitting it with 9 rounds.
The car soon stopped and was found to contain three 17 yr.old girls experimenting (perhaps for the first time) with marijuana. I ask that you imagine that one of these girls is your daughter. Luckily, nobody was injured. Was this a justifiable act by the cops ? I say fuck no. What do you say ?
